Juror Profiling

Attorneys frequently ask jury consultants to prepare profiles of plaintiff and defense jurors.  The most accurate way to prepare juror profiles is to conduct a Community Attitude Survey of jury eligible citizens in the trial venue, poling their opinions about key case issues.

Using the data from a Community Attitude Survey, WPA’ Juror Profiling service provides a statistical means by which to make juror selection decisions.  Through computerized statistical analysis of the responses of jury eligible citizens in the trial venue, profiles of persons likely to be favorably, or unfavorably, predisposed to the case at hand are developed.  Voir dire questions are structured to reveal jurors who fit profiles of plaintiff oriented and defense oriented jurors.

Other methods of juror profiling, such as focus groups and mock trials, are inaccurate and inadequate because the number of mock jurors is too small to yield valid profiles.  Using our vast database of voters nationally, we also have the ability to do cursory profiling of large pools of potential jurors within days if not hours.
